The paper discusses the application of the special case of a well known general numerical solution method -- a collocation spectral approach based on shifted Chebyshev polynomials -- to a very specific class of differential equations, viz.\ a Volterra integro-differential pantograph equation. The authors provide a superficial error analysis and some numerical examples with very smooth analytic solutions that are rather un-representative for what one encounters in practice.
