The performance quality of selected solution methods for standard systems of linear interval equations and interval parametric linear systems with affine-linear dependences is studied. In the first part of the paper, the authors consider the Bauer-Skeel method, the Hansen-Bliek-Rohn method and their modifications based on preconditioning of the system and residual correction. Besides, the quality of bounds is compared. The authors come to the conclusion that neither preconditioning nor residual correction can improve the bounds. In case of interval parametric linear systems a different situation was observed. The Bauer-Skeel method performs better when a special preconditioning and residual correction are used and in case of Hansen-Bliek-Rohn method performs at best when preconditioning without residual correction is employed.
