The author refines his own version of the nonautonomous Conley index in order to obtain a Conley index for families of nonautonomous evolution operators (see [the author, J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 19, No. 3, 1825--1870 (2017; Zbl 1379.37033)]). Different variants of the index are given: homotopy, homology and categorical one. Attractor-repeller decompositions and connecting homomorphisms are introduced for this setting.
