    The authors prove an existence theorem for a periodic solution of a scalar ordinary differential equation involving a differential operator of the \(p\)-Laplacian type. The assumptions are rather involved, but a concrete example is given at the end of the paper. The proof is carried out by the use of topological degree methods, using some generalized polar coordinates in the phase plane.
