The paper under review deals with a model of dichotomous choices selection process in which a team of fallible decision-makers of different qualities choose a ``winning subset'' of a large set of possible alternatives. The suggested decision-making method consist of sequential evaluation of alternatives that demarcate at each state of evaluation the ranges within which the applications are accepted, rejected, or proceeded for further evaluation. It is shown that such procedure minimizes the consequences of different quality of the decision-makers, as well as the influence of the order in which they present their opinia. The main results rather extend the previous knowledge presented in the literature. It is also shown that the considered problem with heterogeneous expertise and positive marginal decision costs implies the importance of particular sequencing of decision-makers.
