The authors presents sufficient and necessary conditions for existence of so-called Berge and Berge-Nash equilibrium concepts in non-cooperative games. The results are based mostly on fixed point arguments. Also, they present counterexamples for existence theorems from papers by \textit{K. Y. Abalo} and \textit{M. M. Kostreva} [e.g., Topol. Methods Nonlinear Anal. 8, No. 1, 205--215 (1996; Zbl 0892.90184)] and give correct formulations.
