Both massive and massless particles can be absorbed by matter in various physical processes. Multiphoton absorption has been extensively studied in the literature on ionization processes, in terms of the Glauber theory for these phenomena. The paper addresses an extension of the original multiphoton Glauber scheme to the case of massive particles. A simple, fully quantum, perturbative model to evaluate the probability of absorption is proposed.
