In [Sém. Lothar. Comb. 50, B50d (2003; Zbl 1068.20017)], \textit{R. P. Stanley} introduced polynomials which help evaluate symmetric group characters and conjectures that the coefficients of the polynomials are positive. In [arXiv:math/0606467v2 [math.CO] (2006)] he gave a conjectured combinatorial interpretation for the coefficients of the polynomials. In the given paper, the author proves the conjecture for the terms of highest degree.
