Dynamics of edge dislocation clusters interacting with running acoustic waves (Q2430193)

The authors study the interaction of dislocations with running sound waves. They first formulate the equations of motion describing the interaction of straight edge dislocations with each other and with the sound wave, and then solve them numerically. The eigenfrequencies of small-amplitude vibrations of clusters, which helps to analyze the obtained numerical results, are also calculated. Finally, the case of single dislocation is treated analytically for the limit of small but nonzero sound wave frequency.
