This paper looks at the life and works of Richard Gans. He moved from Germany to Argentina in 1912 and began new rok on magnetism and paramagnetics. His influential work in quantum physics took place between 1911 and 1918. He was first quantum physicist in Latin America. He returned to Germany in 1925 but moved back to Argentina in 1947.
