Sparse tensor edge elements (Q2434937)

In this paper the authors prove a discrete inf-sup condition adapted to a Ritz-Galerkin discretization of a stochastic operator equation associated with the Maxwell cavity source problem in frequency domain. This work is motivated by the computation of statistical moments under a stochastic excitation. The discretization is based on space tensor product edge elements and nested sequences of meshes. The proof of the inf-sup condition relies on a generalization of the Fortin projector to a tensor product setting.
