On a finite dimensional manifold \(M\) one considers a smooth vector field \(X\) and a vector bundle for which a connection \(\nabla\) and an endomorphism field \(A\) are given. Under a special property of \(X\), the author proves a Fredholm alternative for the operator \(\nabla_X+A\). A result regarding the eigenvalues is also established.
