Hyperelliptic curves among cyclic coverings of the projective line. II (Q2447674)

This note gives a necessary and sufficient condition for a degree \(d\) cyclic covering of \(\mathbb{P}^1\) branched at \(n\) points to be elliptic or hyperelliptic. This is a continuation of [\textit{N. Wangyu} et al., Arch. Math. 101, No. 5, 479--484 (2013; Zbl 1287.14013)], where the case \(n=3\) was studied.
