Let \(\Gamma\) be a generalized quadrangle arising from an ovoidal hyperplane in the orthogonal dual polar space \({DO}^-_{10}(K)\), where \(K\) is a field. The author constructs an embedding projective space for \(\Gamma\). Moreover, he shows that \(\Gamma\) is a hermitian generalized quadrangle over some skew field if \(K\) is not an infinite field of characteristic 2.
