The authors study unsteady two-dimensional natural convection in an inclined square cavity filled with viscous incompressible fluid and containing a centrally placed heat-generating square solid block. The right cold wall is maintained at a constant temperature \(\theta_c\) while the left wall temperature \(\theta_h>\theta_c\) varies linearly with height. The top and bottom of the cavity are insulated. Numerical solution of the governing non-dimensional equations is obtained using a finite difference method along with an alternating direction implicit and successive over relaxation techniques for some values of the governing parameters: \(Gr\), the Grashof number, \(S\), the source parameter and \(\alpha\), inclination angle of the cavity. However, the value of Prandtl number is not mentioned. The results are depicted in the form of steady-state streamlines, isotherms and velocity profiles. It is found that the heat transfer rate enhances when the tilting angle \(\alpha\) takes lower negative values. However, the rate of heat transfer is increased when the source parameter \(S\) is increased.
