The authors start by presenting a succinct introduction to the chaos in the context of Chua's circuit. They note that although advances have been made on chaotic control and chaotic synchronization, a key unsolved point up to now is to transmit the chaos synchronization signal and the cryptograph signal on the same channel simultaneously. The authors start by proposing an improved Chua's circuit by using a simulated inductor, which is advantageous during the integration process. Equations, Chua's chaos attractor and chaotic signal time waves are presented. Using the proposed circuit, a drive-response chaotic synchronization system is shown. The authors conclude that this synchronization system possesses certain stability, resisting-disturbance and so on. They prove that the system has a self-maintenance characteristic and thus a key problem of how to simultaneously transmit the controlling signal of chaotic synchronization and the secret signal on the same channel is solved by using it. The experimental results prove the chaos's practical application to secret communications. Authors also pose interesting questions for further research topics on the above subject.
