In this paper the authors obtain convergence results for over-iterates of generalized Bernstein--Stancu operators. They use the spectrum of the operators involved. Therefore it is possible to make global statements on \([0,1]\). This is different from a previous result by \textit{I. A. Rus} [Studia Univ. Babes-Bolyai. Math. 47(4), 101--104 (2002)].
