    The present paper deals with the motion of an incompressible homogeneous Newtonian fluid in a rigid porus medium, where the flow is governed by the Darcy law. The authors show that the stability of the equilibrium solution \((u,f) = (c,c)\) is determined by the slope of the injection rate \(b\) at \(c > 0\). Indeed, it is shown that the equilibrium is unstable if \(b'(c) < 0\) or exponentially stable if \(b'(c) > 0\).
