The author proves that a free \(\mathbb{Z}_3\)-action on a lens space is standard, that is, the action is conjugate by a diffeomorphism of the lens space to an action by isometries. He defines a generalised sweepout of lens spaces which is the same technique as in \textit{J. Maher} and \textit{J. H. Rubinstein} [Geom. Topol. 7, 329--397 (2003; Zbl 1037.57012)], except that it may contain tori.
