Let \(F\) be a upper semicontinuous multifunction between metric spaces having compact values and admitting local weighted index. Cellina's type approximations of an \(F\) by means of single-valued weighted functions are investigated in detail, especially in the case of acyclic-valued \(F\) acting between compact ANR's.
