The author introduces a general class of complex polynomials of Hermite type suggested by a special Laplacian operator and discusses basic properties of them. Three term recurrence relation, differential equation which they obey, generating function and explicit series expansion are derived. The weak orthogonal properties are discussed and the norm is explicity determined. Finally, some new identities for the complex Hermite and Laguerre polynomials are given.
