The author studies cosmic strings solutions which are static solutions of the coupled Einstein equations and some matter-gauge equations for which the nontrivial geometry and topology are clustered in a two-dimensional setting involving a complex line bundle over a Riemann surface. It is shown that, in the context of cosmic strings under consideration there is the equivalence relation: lower level topology = upper level topology = energy = geometry/gravitation.
