In the present paper the author equips Cartan spaces with an almost product structure and defines by analogy with Riemannian spaces of \textit{K. Yano} and \textit{M. Kon} [Structures on Manifolds, World Scientific, Singapore (1984; Zbl 0557.53001)]. a para-Kählerian Cartan structure. Then for such space, he finds necessary and sufficient conditions to be Ricci-semisymmetric, and shows that if a para-Kählerian Cartan space is Ricci-semisymmetric, then it is semisymmetric.
