In connection with the classical Cauchy-Goursat theorem \textit{D. Menchoff} [Math. Ann. 95, 641--670 (1926; JFM 52.0347.02)] has generalized the conditions for a function to be analytic. This Menchoff condition for a continuous, locally univalent function to be analytic (or anti-analytic) is weakened.
