The authors obtain a formula for an integral involving the product of Bessel functions of the first kind and associated Laguerre polynomials. The integral is expressed in terms of the hypergeometric function. Some special cases of the integral lead to finite sums and infinite series representations of hypergeometric functions. The type of integrals considered in this paper arise in scattering theory.
