The present paper deals with the study of a generalized sequence of positive linear operators, which include Meyer-König Zeller (MKZ) operators, Bleimann, Butzer and Hahn (BBH) operators and Szasz operators as special cases. The author verifies the well known Korovkin theorem for such operators. A differential equation is also established whose particular solution is the second moment of the operators discussed. Finally, asymptotic formulas for MKZ and BBH operators are also established.
