The authors considered the nonautonomous linear difference equation \[ y_{n+1}=G_{n+1}y_n, \] where the sequence \(\{G_{n+1}\}\) consists of complex matrices depending on \(n\). Their main result is that under some hypotheses this difference equation is asymptotically stable if and only if \(\| G\| <1\), where \(G:=\lim_{n\to\infty} G_n\).
