Brauer algebras over a field are a family of finite dimensional algebras with two parameters, namely a natural number and an element from the given field. In the paper under review the author gives a necessary and sufficient condition for a Brauer algebra to be semisimple in terms of the characteristic of the field and integral polynomials of the parameter.
