In this paper the isotropization of a Bianchi type I model is studied when the Universe is filled with some ordinary matter coupled to a scalar field. The scalar field is not a ghost and its potential is positive. Using a conformal transformation it allows generalising the results to the case of a scalar theory with an attractive gravity.
