A parallel algorithm for solving block-tridiagonal linear systems on distributed memory multi-computer is given. The proposed algorithm has the same convergence as one of the other recent method. Since the splitting model is different, there is more flexibility than in other algorithms. Fewer conditions are required in the algorithm to make the parallel computation balanced.
