The Stone-Čech compactification of a semilattice (Q2491173)

In the paper under review the author extends some results of the paper [\textit{A. D. Grainger}, Semigroup Forum 67, No.3, 443-453 (2003; Zbl 1045.22002)] on the Stone-Čech compactification of the discrete free semilattice over an infinite set to the Stone-Čech compactification \(\beta S\) of an arbitrary discrete semilattice \(S\). In particular she studies the minimal ideal \(K(\beta S)\) of \(\beta S\) and the location of a point in \(\beta S\).
