General symmetries of a string fluid space-time (Q2492744)

This paper studies the symmetries of spacetime satisfying Einstein's equations using a \(1+1+2\) decomposition of the metric. This form is consistent with the presence of a string fluid, the worldsheet of the strings being along the \(1+1\) dimensional subspace. Restrictions on the possible spacetime in the presence of such an anisotropic string fluid has been explored in some detail.
