The author considers mechanical effects associated with a moving electric charge. He first considers the regularization product in classical electrodynamics and passes on to consider the interference involved in the radiation from two-point like charges, and to obtain the relativistic generalization of Newton's second law when losses of energy by radiation are considered, following on from this, radiation reaction and normalization are dealt with both for six dimension classical dynamics and for a proton like charged particle. The relation is indicated and the existence of conservation laws involving energy-momentum and angular momentum. The paper depends heavily on some of the references where much of the mathematical arguments are given.
