A method for constructing the boundary of forced nucleation domains (Q2496476)

A space time self-organization process is considered as a reaction-diffusion model described by a heat equation with an additive term in the form of a nonlinear function of control parameters. The paper proposes a numerical algorithm for finding equistability conditions on the set of admissible values for the control parameters. First one describes the problem for a many-component active medium, then one derives the exact solutions of the stationary problems, and then one considers the reduction of the problem for a one-component medium, therefore a finite-difference scheme of approximation and numerical results are given.
