The author proves a Schur-convexity property of the Stolarsky means of two arguments. As a consequence, an inequality between logarithmic mean and identric mean is given. Reviewer's remark. After simple notations, this inequality becomes a result of the reviewer [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 199, No. 2, 629--635 (1996; Zbl 0854.26013)], where further improvements are given, too.
