    The method described in the paper uses a relatively sophisticated spectroscopic model directly in the data reduction process. A genetic algorithm (GA) is used to find the best fit between the model and the experimental data using the thermodynamic parameters as GA variables. The result is the determination of the thermodynamic state, which produces the best fit between the spectroscopic model and measured data.
