The authors present a thorough experimental study of stochastic resonance in an electronic Chua circuit, operating in a chaotic regime, forced by a periodic signal and a Gaussian white noise. They find that due to the residual dynamics on the attractors, the response of the system to a periodic perturbation strongly depends on the external frequency.
