In this paper a two-dimensional periodic Lotka-Volterra system is treated with impulsive effects at an infinite number of moments. The predator-prey and the competitive cases are considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the uniform persistence of the system. Conditions are also given for the existence of a positive periodic solution and also for extinction.
