Consider the nonlinear neutral difference equation with variable delay \[ \Delta x (n)=-a(n) f (x(n- \tau (n)))+c(n)\Delta x(n-\tau (n))=0. \] Using the fixed point method, asymptotic stability results of the zero solution are derived.
