Preconditioners for higher order edge finite element discretizations of Maxwell's equations (Q2519317)

Preconditioned conjugate gradient methods are applied to higher order edge finite element equations. The main idea of the construction of preconditioners is to recursively translate the computation of the preconditioners into the one for other edge or \(H^1\)-conforming finite element equations which have less degree of freedom without costing too much computational efforts. Numerical experiments illustrate the abstract results of this paper.
