The location in a specified disk by output feedback for linear discrete -- or continuous-time uncertain linear systems is considered. The uncertainty is norm bounded. A necessary and sufficient condition for quadratic \(d\) stabilizability by dynamic output feedback is established. It is shown that the problem is equivalent to a discrete \(H_\infty\) control synthesis problem. An output \(d\) stabilization algorithm is presented and illustrated by numerical examples.
