New methods of computation for coupled channel equations (Q2564271)

Some new methods for the numerical solution of the Schrödinger wave equation in coupled channels are discussed. Numerov's three-point recurrence relation and Yang's recurrence relation for the relative coefficients of the wave function are modified in order to get some advantages during the starting calculation. In these new recurrence relations the operations for the inverse of the matrix are avoided and the effect of the potential matrix on the accuracy is removed.
