Based on the projective interpretation of hyperbolic geometry [cf.~\textit{E. Molnár}, Beitr.~Algebra Geom. 38(2), 261--288 (1997; Zbl 0889.51021)] the author determines the data and the density of the optimal ball and horoball packings of the Coxeter tilings in the hyperbolic 3-space.
