Transnormal submanifolds have been introduced by \textit{S. A. Robertson} [Mich. Math. J. 11, 97--105 (1964; Zbl 0123.29501)] as a generalization of the notion of constant width. Extending examples provided by the reviewer [Geom. Dedicata 38, 175--191 (1991; Zbl 0697.53006)], the authors present tubular constructions around transnormal submanifolds leading to transnormal submanifolds again. In particular, examples for transnormal embeddings of tori are obtained, which are not products.
