Coincidence and common fixed point theorems in compact Hausdorff spaces (Q2570931)

Motivated by the work of \textit{G. Jungck} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 103, No. 3, 977--983 (1988; Zbl 0661.54043)], the authors prove coincidence and common fixed point results for continuous mappings in compact Hausdorff spaces and establish some equivalent conditions for the existence of common fixed points of continuous mappings in compact Hausdorff spaces. Almost all of the results are illustrated by examples.
