The paper deals with construction of high order uniform numerical methods to solve linear parabolic singularly perturbed problems. The authors consider first the respective elliptic problem and define a new HODIE method on a piecewise uniform Shishkin mesh. Next using this HODIE scheme together with a two stage SDIRK method, a 1D parabolic singularly perturbed problem is solved.
