The article studies a class of algebraically special solutions to the Einstein equations which are found in non-comoving coordinates within the generalized Robinson-Trautman formulation introduced by Wainwright. The source is a stiff rotationless perfect fluid. The solution is singular for \(t=0\) and for \(r=0\). It is shown that there are trapped surfaces associated to the latter singularity which are asymptotically censored. The inhomogeneous spacetimes are in the \(x,y\) subspace either spherically symmetric or flat.
