On fixed points of Knaster continua (Q2577123)

By using methods of \textit{J. M. Aarts} and \textit{R. J. Fokkink} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 126, No. 3, 881--885 (1998; Zbl 0891.54023)], the authors determine the minimum number of fixed points of homeomorphisms on generalized one-dimensional Knaster continua and show that there exists a class of these continua having homeomorphisms with a single fixed point. Furthermore, they prove that there exist generalized Knaster continua admitting that every homeomorphism has either uncountably many fixed points or uncountably many points of period two.
