Asymptotic analysis and asymptotic domain decomposition for an integral equation of the radiative transfer type (Q2581330)

The paper is concerned with an integral equation of radiative transfer type being solved over a long time interval. The aim of the paper is to provide an asymptotic solution of the problem and to give details of a transformation that leads to an equation over a shorter time interval. The paper is structured as follows: After basic preliminaries, the authors show how an asymptotic solution can be constructed, they then propose a decomposition of the domain. Finally some estimates of accuracy under simplified boundary layer conditions are presented.
