Die vom Verf. angegebene Formel \[ x^m+y^m=\sum\limits_{k=0}^{\big[\tfrac{m}2\big]}(-1)^k \bigg[\binom{m-k+1}{k}-\binom{m-k-1}{k-2}\bigg] P^kS^{m-2k} \] wobei \(P = xy\), \(S = x + y\) ist, ergibt sich durch eine einfache Umrechnung der \textit{Girard}schen (Waringschen) Formeln für den Spezialfall \(n = 2\).
